LAHORE:Dais, an Urdu-language news channel has begun hiring staff, according to a post on the Newsweek website.
Headquartered in Lahore, the channel is an Associated Group (AG) project to be launched with broadcast affiliate partner CNN.
According to the announcement, Dais and its associated electronic and print media enterprises are seeking both experienced journalists and aspiring ones.
The hiring of staff will be done by AG with the application deadline being October 31, 2012.
The announcement said Dais and CNN will provide successful candidates with eight weeks of training. Life insurance, personal protection gear, and duress training to all field journalists will also be provided.
