Cricket commentator A R Zaidi passes away
A R Zaidi, a prominent cricket commentator, has died at 62 following a cardiac arrest. Known for his voice on radio cricket, he retired from civil service two years ago.

ISLAMABAD— Renowned cricket commentator A R Zaidi died on Friday of cardiac arrest. He was 62.

He was a well-known voice of radio cricket commentary and had retired from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting two years back. He was an officer of the 13th Common Audit and Commerce Group.

Zaidi left behind two sons and two daughters.

Col (Rtd) Naushad Ali, an ex-Test cricketer, Shakil Shaikh, a former PCB governing board member and others, condoled Zaidi’s death and prayed to Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace.

They paid rich tributes to the services he rendered in the field of civil service and as a cricket commentator.
