Committee to investigate Dr. Niaz-Shoaib Akhtar spat
The Federal Minister for Information has set up a committee to investigate the verbal altercation between Shoaib Akhtar and Dr. Nauman Niaz. The committee will hear from both individuals involved and will report its findings to the minister.

ISLAMABAD—Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry has constituted a committee to look into the verbal spat between former fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar and presenter Dr. Nauman Niaz during live transmission on PTV Sports.

The committee, headed by the PTV managing director, will also comprise people from other sectors, including the PTV's Human Resources (HR) Department.

The committee will study the exchange between Dr. Niaz and Akhtar, both off-air and on-air.

The committee, which will send its findings to the information minister, has summoned Dr. Niaz and Akhtar to hear their viewpoint.
