ISLAMABAD – Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar has taken notice of Tuesday’s attack on BOL News analyst and investigative journalist Asad Kharal and sought a report from the Inspector General of Police in 24 hours.
Kharal was attacked and severely injured by about a dozen armed men near the Lahore Airport.
The assailants intercepted his car, dragged him out and beat him up with staffs and rifle butts, reports said.
Kharal is a vocal critic of the Pakistan Muslim League-N, and in his programs exposed their corruption.
BOL News quickly accused the PML-N of carrying out the attack.
