Chief Justice calls for efforts to locate journalist Imran Riaz Khan

ISLAMABAD - Supreme Court Chief Justice Umer Ata Bandial on Tuesday asked the federal government to make all efforts to recover journalist Imran Riaz Khan.

He made these comments during the case hearing regarding the military trial of civilians. Addressing Attorney General Mansoor Usman Awan, the chief justice called for making every effort to recover Imran Riaz so that he could spend Eid with his family. Imran Riaz has been missing since May 11.

In response, the attorney general said Imran Riaz is not in "our custody". However, he added that the state would provide every support for recovering the missing journalist.
