ISLAMABAD: BOL News Television has almost completed its staff hiring and the channel could go on air this August. A source tells JournalismPakistan.com that Khurram Kaleem, head of news at Aaj TV, and Khurram Anwar, general manager production and executive producer current affairs, have recently joined BOL. Several senior journalists from different television channels including Geo TV, ARY News and DawnNews have been hired. The source said that hiring process is nearly complete now and the channel will start its mock/in-house transmission from next month. The management is also planning to roll out Urdu and English language newspapers three months after the channel’s launch. “Some other channels like entertainment and sports will also be launched after the papers come out,” he said.
