BOL News appoints Shahzada Zulfiqar as Quetta bureau chief

QUETTA – BOL News has named senior journalist Shahzada Zulfiqar as its Quetta bureau chief with the channel’s preparation continuing for a formal launch before the year ends.

Zulfiqar, also the President of Quetta Press Club, was previously writing for Dawn out of the volatile Balcohistan province.

He was the staff correspondent of The Nation for almost 16 years and at one time served Samaa Television as bureau chief. He also used to write for monthly Newsline magazine.

Zulfiqar has over three decades of experience in journalism and is also a recipient of the President’s Award for Pride of Performance – the first journalist in Balochistan to earn this distinction.
