ISLAMABAD: Shoaib Ahmed Shaikh, the Chairman and CEO of BOL Network has said that BOL Television is to go on air soon and its launch will be the biggest ever in the corporate sector.

He spoke last week at the Axact Team Meet event in Karachi where an estimated 12000 guests were invited among them some prominent television anchors - Mushtaq Minhas, Nusrat Javeed, Sami Ibrahim, Asma Chaudhry, Asma Shirazi and Mubashar Luqman.

Also in attendance were television program presenters Aftab Iqbal and Faheem Siddiqui.

JournalismPakistan.com friends who attended the event say the CEO minced no words in saying that BOL Television will be the country's No 1 channel. He made it clear that no one could stop them from hitting the airwaves.

Shoaib warned the media 'seths' to be ready to increase the salaries of their staffers up to three times if they nourished any hopes of competing with BOL TV.

The program was also attended by Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Pervaiz Rashid and Chairman Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA).
