Big blow to BOL: Kamran Khan quits

ISLAMABAD: Prominent journalist and anchorperson Kamran Khan announced Saturday he has quit BOL News, following charges against its parent company Axact.

He left Geo TV in July last year where he was hosting a popular current affairs program, “Aaj Kamran Khan K Sath,” to joined BOL as its President and Editor-in-Chief.

“Charges against Axact far from proven in court but my conscience not letting me continue. I've decided to disassociate from Bol immediately,” he tweeted Saturday.

Khan was upset after The New York Times published a scam about Axact, wherein the paper accused the company of being involved in issuing fake degrees and diplomas to people across the globe.

The inquiry is underway into the scam. The BOL management has announced formally launching the channel on Ramadan 1. Their test transmission is currently on.
