BBC Urdu's inaugural TV program, Sairbeen, is set to launch on Express News. The show aims to bring trusted journalism to Pakistan through its presenters.Summary
ISLAMABAD:BBCUrdu’s first television program Sairbeen is to go on air Monday on Express News, reports said.
The program presenters will be Iram Gillani, Nosheen Abbas and Tabinda Kokab. "It's a great privilege to be part of an institution like BBC and to bring BBC Urdu's first TV program to our audience,” said Iram in a Facebook post by her organization.
On the other hand Nosheen said they would bring news to viewers without any hesitation while Tabinda pointed out it was a challenge and an honor to bring BBC’s trusted and impartial journalism to viewers in Pakistan.
JournalismPakistan.com had reported in July last year that a partnership between Express News and BBC was on the cards.
The Express Group publishes The Express Tribune, a partner of the International Herald Tribune and Urdu-language Daily Express besides running Express Entertainment and Hero televisionchannels. A Sindhi language newspaper is also on their business list.
