Balochistan government claims to arrest murderer of journalist Athar Mateen

QUETTA—The Balochistan government has claimed to arrest the alleged murderer of journalist Athar Mateen from the Khuzdar district.

The News reported that Parliamentary Secretary Bushra Rind said that the alleged killer was arrested in a joint operation launched by Sindh and Balochistan Police.

According to her, the suspected killer was being shifted to Karachi.

Mateen was shot dead last Friday in an armed attack on his car in Karachi’s North Nazimabad area.
