ARY News journalist Arshad Sharif flies to Dubai from Peshawar
Arshad Sharif, an ARY News journalist, has reportedly escaped to Dubai amid legal troubles. This comes after an FIR was registered against him and others in Karachi.

PESHAWAR—After an FIR was filed against ARY anchorperson Arshad Sharif by Karachi police, reports on social media said that he had fled to Dubai from Peshawar Airport.

In a tweet, Waseem Abbasi, investigative journalist and editor reporting Urdu News, stated: "According to family sources, Arshad sharif has flown today morning from Peshawar to Dubai."

"ARY News' Arshad Sharif has reportedly flown this morning from Peshawar airport to Dubai," Ihsanullah Tipu Mehsood, a journalist covering KP for New York Times, tweeted.

A case was registered on Tuesday in which ARY CEO Salman Iqbal and other analysts were booked. According to the FIR, Sharif and ARY news head Ammad Yousaf were involved in airing a controversial statement against the military by PTI's Shahbaz Gill.
