ARY boss announces financial assistance to Arshad Sharif's family
Salman Iqbal, Chairman of ARY Network, has committed to providing full financial support to the family of journalist Arshad Sharif, who was recently killed in Kenya. The assistance will last until Sharif's children achieve self-reliance.

ISLAMABAD—Salman Iqbal (pictured), Chairman of ARY Network, has announced full financial assistance to the family of slain journalist Arshad Sharif.

Iqbal, in a statement, said that the support would continue until the journalist's children become self-reliant.

Sharif was killed in Kenya this week. On Wednesday, his dead body was brought back home by a private plane while his funeral prayers were offered at Faisal Masjid Islamabad Thursday afternoon.
