Arif Nizami elected CPNE president
Arif Nizami has been elected president of CPNE, succeeding in a long career as a journalist and analyst. Prime Minister Abbasi congratulated Nizami and other newly elected members.

ISLAMABAD –Pakistan Today Editor Arif Nizami has been elected president of Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE).

According to Pakistan Today, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi greeted the newly-elected president, and other members.

Nizami is a veteran journalist and a senior analyst, who also regularly appears on television. He is the son of late Hameed Nizami, a renowned journalist who founded Nawa-i-Waqt.

The CPNE elected body: President Arif Nizami, Secretary-General Dr Jabbar Khattak, Islamabad Vice President Rehmat Ali, Punjab VP Ayaz Khan, Sindh VP Ikram Saigol, KPK VP Tahir Farooq, Balochistan VP Arif Baloch, Joint Secretary Amir Mehmood and Information Secretary Adnan Malik.
