APP and Kazinform sign news exchange agreement
The Associated Press of Pakistan and Kazinform have signed a news exchange agreement. This collaboration aims to provide mutual news services regarding events in their countries.

ISLAMABAD -The Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) and Kazinform International News Agency on Sunday signed an agreement to enhance collaboration in news exchange and expand cooperation in the sphere of information exchange based on quality, mutual respect and benefits.

Managing Director APP, Masood Malik and Director General Kazinform News Agency, Askar Umarov, signed the agreement on the sidelines of a two-day International Conference of News Agencies.

Both the news agencies have agreed to provide each other with their news services about the current events of interest about the internal and international life of their countries, in English. The parties will be free to distribute the received news services by all means on their territories with the obligatory reference to the sources of information.

Under the agreement, the parties will provide username and passwords to access their news services.

Both the sides agreed to share news to a certain extent and ensure access to information as and when required by the parties.

The agreement will come into effect from the date of signing by the parties for three years, and it will be automatically renewed.

More agreements are expected on the sidelines of the conference. - APP
