Amnesty International conducted a global survey with 550 young people aged 13-24, revealing significant concerns about social media's impact on mental health and privacy. The majority of respondents felt that platform designs were addictive and that privacy terms were hard to understand. Many reported encountering harmful content such as racism, bullying, and misinformation. The findings underscore the need for greater regulatory measures to protect young users‹ (Amnesty International).
