JournalismPakistan.com has launched a new all-blue website design after work that began in August and took over eight months. The update adds new sections, blogs, videos, and sign-up and reporting tools while retaining core areas like Jobs and Fellowships.Summary
ISLAMABAD – They say black is beautiful; but how about blue? We thought blue was better, so here it is the all-blue, the all-new JournalismPakistan.com. Work on this design began in August last year and it was not that the scale of work was enormous it took us over eight months to get the website up; it was just that problems crept up along the way.
But I am glad that we are finally there! I am sure our visitors will find the new-look websitewith its several new features 100 percent likeable.
Some of the new segments include the Hall of Fame that honors journalists past and present who made vital contributions to Pakistani journalism; the JP Global section that features international journalism news and events and JP America that will regularly have reports and information on the media in the United States, especially matters that either interest or could be beneficial to Pakistani journalists.
The popular Oops section that lists headline blunders, sloppy captions and other mistakes from newspapers has now been renamed as ‘Human Error’. Also, we have got the Blogs going and have put videos on our site, which will be a regular feature.
You can send in your tips and reports by clicking the ‘Report’ button at the top of the page while Signing Up allows you to edit your profile or to change your picture displayed in the Members section.
Visitors can also sign-up for our e-newsletter for a monthly wrap-up of news and opportunities posted on our website.The rest of the popular sections are still there – Fellowships, Jobs, Events and all.
