Aap News discontinues talk show Aap Kay Muqabil
The popular talk show Aap Kay Muqabil on Aap News has been discontinued without prior notice. Analysts Rauf Klasra and Amir Mateen confirmed the closure on Twitter.

ISLAMABAD — The popular program Aap Kay Muqabil on Aap News has been discontinued with immediate effect, according to one of the analysts who appeared in the show.

Rauf Klasra announced on Twitter that the management had informed them about the decision. “Thank you, dear viewers, for your trust and immense response,” he said.

It was not immediately clear why the show was stopped.

Amir Mateen, the other analyst in the program, argued with Omar Ayub Khan, Federal Minister for Power, Petroleum, and Natural Resources in successive tweets in recent days.

In one of his tweets, Mateen asked the minister "why are you threatening me with my job.”

Both Klasra and Mateen had joined Aap News in May this year from 92 News.
