Regulator bans 'unlawful' broadcast of program by Express News
The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has taken action against Express News for airing the program DW Sawal without approval. This decision comes as part of ongoing media regulation efforts in Pakistan.

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority has banned airing of program DW Sawal on Express News Television with immediate effect.

The regulator said the program broadcast every Thursday at 1:30 pm was produced by foreign news organization Deutsche Welle.

The program “is being aired on Express News unlawfully without any approval of the Authority,” PEMRA said in a media release.
