Anchor Ayesha Jahanzaib alleges abuse by husband, FIR filed

LAHORE— Prominent anchor Ayesha Jahanzaib has come forward with allegations of domestic abuse against her husband, Haris Ali. Speaking to Samaa TV on Monday, she disclosed that she has been enduring violence for the past several months, stemming from Haris Ali's secret second marriage.

Ayesha, who appeared visibly bruised and distressed during the interview, recounted the harrowing experiences she endured. "When I asked him about his secret second marriage, he beat me up," she said, detailing the physical and emotional abuse she faced. Despite her efforts over the past six months to salvage the marriage, she revealed that Haris had verbally divorced her.

Expressing her fears for her safety and that of her children, Ayesha stated, "I fear him, for my own safety and that of my children."

In response to the continued abuse, Ayesha Jahanzaib filed a first information report (FIR) against Haris Ali. Following the FIR, Haris Ali was arrested and is currently on a two-day physical remand.
