Press Network of Pakistan unveils Young Voters Election Quiz Contest
The Press Network of Pakistan has introduced a quiz contest for young voters to promote understanding of the electoral process. The contest is aimed at students and encourages active participation in the upcoming 2024 elections.

ISLAMABAD—The Press Network of Pakistan has announced an incredible opportunity for all young individuals, particularly students in universities, colleges, and educational institutions nationwide.

The Young Voters Election Quiz Contest, designed to enrich understanding of the electoral process, is in anticipation of the upcoming General Elections for the National Assembly and Provincial Assemblies scheduled for February 8, 2024.

Head of the PNP Election Cell, Sabahuddin Qazi, shared that the quiz aligns with Clause (09) of the National Media Code of Conduct issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan. This clause urges national media houses to initiate civic and voter education programs during the election period, focusing on marginalized communities, including youth and women. The goal is to maximize voter turnout and ensure active participation in the electoral process.

"The active engagement of the public in the election process is crucial for the continuity of democracy," emphasized Mr. Qazi, highlighting the role of the right to vote in advancing the public agenda. Recognizing the need to motivate the young generation across Pakistan, he underscored the significance of their involvement.

Outstanding participants in the quiz will receive a Certificate of Achievement, and exciting prizes will be distributed among the winners. The deadline for participating in the quiz is January 31, 2024.

This initiative aims to empower and educate the youth, fostering a sense of civic duty and participation in the democratic process.
