President Haripur Press Club Zakir Tanoli injured in attack

ISLAMABAD—Zakir Hussain Tanoli, President of Haripur Press Club, was injured in an attack on his life by unknown individuals.

Talking to former President PFUJ Afzal Butt, he shared the details. When he reached home at 6:00 pm, masked men approached him, throwing red chilies in his eyes. "They started hitting me with knives and pistol butts on my head," he said, adding that the accused fled.

Several journalists, in response to Afzal Butt's social media post expressed solidarity with Tanoli and demanded the authorities take strict action against the culprits.
