ISLAMABAD —Aaj News Television has recently terminated about a dozen employees from its Lahore and Islamabad offices. The layoffs include two assignment editors, several reporters, camerapersons, and other staff members.

Sources indicate that the news organization executed these terminations without prior notice, violating standard employment practices. Additionally, the dismissed employees have not received the three months' salaries owed to them under their contracts, adding to their grievances.

This sudden decision by Aaj News Television has raised concerns about the treatment of employees and adherence to contractual obligations within the media industry.
