Indian journalist kills himself by jumping off 4th floor of hospital
Tarun Sisodiya, a 37-year-old journalist, took his life at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. He was reportedly recovering from COVID-19 but experienced disorientation.

ISLAMABAD—A 37-year-old Indian journalist undergoing treatment for the coronavirus at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) killed himself by jumping off the fourth floor of the hospital.

According to India Today, the journalist identified as Tarun Sisodiya was rushed to the intensive care unit (ICU) and succumbed to the injuries later. He was associated with a Hindi daily and was a resident of northeast Delhi's Bhajanpura.

AIIMS, in its statement over the incident, said that Tarun ran out of his room on Monday afternoon. The attendant went after him and tried to stop him. Still, he ran to the fourth floor, where he broke the windowpane and jumped out.

The hospital said that he was recovering well from coronavirus but was having bouts of disorientation.
