Geo News female reporters attacked at PTI protest

KARACHI: Two female reporters from Geo News were harassed allegedly by supporters of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf while covering the party's protest in Karachi on Friday.

Geo.tv reported that stones and bottles were hurled at the channel's DSNG van, and the journalists were surrounded by party workers shortly after Imran Khan had concluded his speech. The female reporters were not named.

Geo said the PTI workers tried to drag a female reporter who had taken refuge in the van and used abusive language against her.

Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon condemned the attack on women journalists and termed the incident shameful.
