Doctor threatens TNN journalist
Anwar Shah, a journalist with the Tribal News Network, faced threats from Dr. Kaleem Shah over a report on unethical medical practices. The story revealed lady doctors encouraging patients to visit private clinics instead.

PESHAWAR – Anwar Shah, a correspondent with the Tribal News Network, has received threats after doing a story about lady doctors complicating delivery cases at government-run hospitals.

The TNN reported that Dr. Kaleem Shah from Kurram Agency hurled threats following the broadcast and publishing of the news. The doctor is the spouse of Dr. Rashida Kaleem.

Anwar had reported that the lady doctors try and ask the patients at the government hospitals to visit them at their private clinics. The story included interviews of those affected.

The journalist said that he had informed the administration about the threats. He has a record of the threatening calls and text messages.
