BOL News starts hiring reporting team in Islamabad
BOL News has launched its hiring process for its Islamabad bureau. Aamir Saeed Abbasi has been appointed as the first correspondent, with more reporters expected soon.
ISLAMABAD: BOL News Television, likely to go on air on August 14, has started hiring its reporting team for Islamabad bureau.
A source told JournalismPakistan.com the channel has hired Aamir Saeed Abbasi (pictured) as its first correspondent in Islamabad with more reporters to be hired in the coming weeks.
Abbasi is known for his exclusives and breaking news on issues pertaining to security, courts and crime. He started his career in journalism as a correspondent with Aaj TV in 2009 before switching to Samaa TV in August 2010 where he worked for four-and-a-half years.
He joined Dunya News TV in November 2014 as a correspondent and has now moved to BOL News as its first reporter in Islamabad. He is nephew of senior journalist Raja Assad Hameed (late) who was gunned down in March 2009.
Abbasi has got a Masters degree in Defense and Strategic Studies from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad.
