LAHORE –Unidentified men kidnapped The Nation columnist and Waqt TV analyst Gul Bukhari in Lahore late Tuesday night. According to The News journalist Umar Cheema, Bukhari was on her way to the Waqt TV offices for the 11:00 pm show when she was abducted by men in five to six double-cabin vehicles.

The incident has sparked widespread concern and outrage among the media community and the public. Ansar Abbasi, Editor Investigations at The News, tweeted: "Reports of #GulBukhari’s kidnapping are both shocking and worrisome.
