Analyst Gul Bukhari kidnapped
Gul Bukhari, a journalist and analyst, was kidnapped in Lahore on Tuesday night. The incident has sparked widespread concern regarding the safety of media professionals in Pakistan.

LAHORE –Unidentified men kidnapped The Nation columnist and Waqt TV analyst Gul Bukhari in Lahore late Tuesday night. According to The News journalist Umar Cheema, Bukhari was on her way to the Waqt TV offices for the 11:00 pm show when she was abducted by men in five to six double-cabin vehicles.

The incident has sparked widespread concern and outrage among the media community and the public. Ansar Abbasi, Editor Investigations at The News, tweeted: "Reports of #GulBukhari’s kidnapping are both shocking and worrisome. Hope she returns home safely and those involved in her abduction are caught and punished."

The motive behind the kidnapping remains unclear, and authorities have yet to identify the perpetrators. The abduction of a prominent journalist has raised serious questions about the safety and security of media professionals in Pakistan.

Investigations are underway to locate Bukhari and apprehend those responsible for this brazen act. Colleagues and supporters have taken to social media, demanding her immediate release and urging the authorities to ensure her safe return.
