92 News crew attacked, one injured, DSNG van damaged
A crew from 92 News was attacked in Karachi, leaving one engineer injured and a DSNG van damaged. The incident has drawn condemnation from journalist unions.

KARACHI–A crew of 92 News TV was attacked by unidentified men here Saturday, damaging a Digital Satellite News Gathering (DSNG) van and injuring an engineer. Reports said that the incident occurred in the Lines Area Unit 54, where the team was covering an event. Journalist unions condemned the attack and called for the immediate arrest of the assailants.

There have been several previous attacks on news-gathering teams in the crime-infested metropolis. Earlier this month, two employees of DawnNews Television were injured in a shooting incident. One staffer was shot in the neck and the other in the leg.
