Tragic loss in Jacobabad: Zulfiqar Ali Mandrani fatally shot
Zulfiqar Ali Mandrani, a reporter, was shot dead by unknown assailants in Jacobabad. The police arrested two suspects, believing the motive was personal.

KARACHI—Zulfiqar Ali Mandrani, a reporter of Sindhi newspaper Daily Koshish, was shot dead by two unknown assailants in Jacobabad Tuesday.

Samaa TV quoting freelancer Hanif Samoon reported that the journalist was targeted in Dodapur. He later died at the Chandka Medical Hospital in Larkana.

The police say they have arrested two suspects and believe the motive behind Mandrani's murder was personal enmity. However, an FIR is yet to be registered.

Koshish Editor Naimat Khuhro said that in February, Aziz Memon of KTN News was killed, and now Mandrani. He called for justice and the immediate arrest of the killers.

Memon's body was found in a canal in Sindh's Mehrabpur district with a wire around his neck.
