ISLAMABAD – Electronic media regulator PEMRA Friday served a show cause notice on BOL News for defying a ban slapped on Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain and his program Aisay Nahi Chalay Ga.
The program was aired Friday, hosted as always by Dr. Aamir while promos of his show were also run, the watchdog said.
The channel has been asked to explain why it failed to comply with PEMRA’s orders.
“….BOL News in blatant and deliberate violation….not only telecast program Aisay Nahi Chalay Ga but also the host Dr. Aamir Liaquat appeared on BOL News at 22:45 on January 26, 2017. Later the program was re-telecast by the TV management again in violation of the PEMRA orders,” said the show cause notice.
BOL News has been directed to respond to the notice within seven days.
