LAHORE – The management of Dunya News has offered to hold talks with the journalists Joint Action Committee about the terminations of employees by the media group.
According to statement, Mian Aamir Mehmood, the CEO of the media house and chairman Pakistan Broadcasters Association will meet the members of the action committee on Tuesday.
Welcoming the move, the journalists called off their protest they were to hold outside the offices of the news organization on Monday.
The action committee said in Tuesday’s meeting it will take up the matter of not only the sackings at Dunya Group but also the layoffs elsewhere.
