Pakistani journo to contest AIPS elections
Malik Amjad Aziz, Secretary General of PSWF, has filed his nominations for AIPS elections. The elections will take place during the annual AIPS Congress in Sochi.

ISLAMABAD: Malik Amjad Aziz, Secretary General of Pakistan Sports Writers’ Federation (PSWF) has filed his nominations for the positions of vice president and member of the International Sports Press Association (AIPS).

Malik who works for Geo Television was instrumental in organizing an international sports journalists’ congress last week in Peshawar, where he is based.

According to AIPS, 55 nominations have been received for 20 positions on the Executive Committee for the period 2013-2017. The elections will be held on April 17 during the 76th annual AIPS Congress in Sochi from April 15 -19. A senior journalist, Malik has covered major international events including the Olympic and Asian Games for radio, television and the print media.
