Freelance data journalists, staff journalists, or groups of newsrooms collaborating on a data project are encouraged to submit proposals.
The grants aim to support journalists in their efforts to uncover significant stories that might otherwise go unreported, using data to reveal patterns, trends, and insights that contribute to public understanding.

The Pulitzer Center encourages innovative approaches and collaborations that can push the boundaries of traditional journalism.
