ISLAMABAD: Four media groups are reported to be in the run for the broadcasting rights for the cricket home series that Pakistan will be play in the UAE against South Africa and Sri Lanka later this year, The Express Tribune said Sunday.
Nimbus, Ten Sports, Geo Super and PTV Sports are competing for the rights. “Four media groups have bid for the broadcasting rights of the series against South Africa and Sri Lanka,” the Tribune said. “Nimbus and Ten Sports are the main competitors, while Geo Super and PTV Sports are also in contention.”
It was reported the PCB is also mulling over an option of splitting the bidding, which will pave way for two different broadcasters in both cricket series.
The PCB’s five-year broadcasting deal with Dubai-based Ten Sports ended this year.
