DawnNews terminates contracts of program presenters, others
DawnNews Television has issued notices for the termination of contracts for key program presenters and their team members. The decision comes amid reported financial struggles within the organization.

ISLAMABAD – DawnNews Television management has issued notices to two of its presenters and the team members of their programs, informing them their contracts are being terminated.

JournalismPakistan.com had reported about the terminations last week.

The notices were served on Tuesday on anchor Baqir Sajjad Syed, co-host of the program 2 Raaye, and Jawad Ahmed Siddiqi, who hosts Dusra Rukh.

Others handed notices include at least four producers, two researchers, and as many coordinators. The notice period ends on November 27.

The management has cited financial crunch as the reason for the job cuts.
