LARKANA – An attempt to kidnap a journalist’s daughter was foiled by the residents of Lahori Mohalla.
The 12-year-old daughter of Mashooque Odhano, bureau chief of Sindhi daily Kawish in Larkana, was heading home when a man identified as Altaf Siyal tried to abduct her.
The girl started to cry that prompted the people in the neighborhood to apprehend the culprit. They handed him over him to the Civil Lines Police Station.
Police have registered the case and started investigations. The criminal’s previous record is also being verified.
Talking to PPI, Odhano said his daughter is a student of class VI. “My daughter told me the same person tried to snatch her schoolbag a day before the current incident, but she ran away.” - PPI
