A 15-member delegation of journalists from Balochistan visited the Associated Press of Pakistan in Islamabad. They received insights into the agency's news dissemination and operational capabilities.

ISLAMABAD: A 15-member delegation of journalists from Balochistan on Tuesday visited the offices of Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) and received a briefing on its functioning. APP Managing Director Muhammad Khalid Sarwar welcomed the delegation and briefed them on news dissemination. He informed them about the professional capability of the news agency, particularly with reference to its various news services including English, Urdu, Pashto and VNS.

Director News APP Naeem Chaudhry briefed the journalists about the functioning of different wings of the organization, including District Desk and VNS. He informed them about working of district correspondents at different districts and steps being taken to improve the service. Director Information Technology APP Ghawas Khan apprised the visitors about the organization’s aims, objectives and vision of the organization. The delegation members included Zahir Khan (Bureau Chief ATV), Abdul Kabir Shakir (Bureau Chief Daily Kainat, Karachi), Agha Ubaid (Editor Sada-e-ulf), Abdul Raziq Ababaki (Editor Daily Talar, Noshki), Naseer Ahmed Kakar (Senior Reporter Daily Balochistan), Eesa Tareen (Bureau Chief INP, Quetta), Ali Raza (Editor Daily Asrae Nau, Mastung), Abdul Shakoor (Senior Reporter APP, Quetta), Naqeebullah Khan (Reporter Daily Naway Zawand, Quetta), Nadeem Akhtar (Reporter Daily Aftab, Quetta), Afzal Mughal (Senior Reporter Daily Mashriq, Quetta), Bari Baloch (Correspondent, The Nation, Lahore), Muhammad Danial Butt (Reporter NNI, Quetta), Zafar Achakzai (Reporter Qudrat, Quetta) and Nadeem Qalandrani (Reporter Daily Nazim News, Quetta). - APP
