Attend the Trust Conference 2024 in London

The Trust Conference, a significant global gathering organized by the Thomson Reuters Foundation, is set to take place in London, England from October 23 to 25. Bringing together journalists, publishers, experts, innovators, and activists, the conference aims to influence the trajectory towards free and equitable societies, trustworthy institutions, and inclusive sustainable economies.

Over two days, participants will engage in panel discussions, fireside chats, interactive presentations, and networking opportunities.

Day One of the conference will delve into the complex challenges facing global democracy amidst the increasing integration of AI into our digital landscape. Key discussions will focus on safeguarding the core values of journalism amidst radical transformations, addressing challenges faced by media in exile, and developing innovative strategies to combat legal assaults on media freedom.

Day Two shifts the spotlight to AI's broader societal impacts and the responsibilities of businesses in a rapidly changing global landscape. Sessions will explore international frameworks for AI governance, ethical dilemmas arising from AI's integration into corporate sectors, and its transformative effects on the legal profession. The discussions will critically assess whether AI democratizes access to justice or imposes new barriers.

Additionally, the conference will unveil insights from the Thomson Reuters Foundation's leading voluntary corporate disclosure initiative, which represents over 10 million workers. These insights will shape discussions on the future of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices and responsible business.
