Apply now: McGraw Fellowships offer up to $15,000 for in-depth business journalism

Experienced journalists looking to pursue ambitious reporting projects on business and the global economy can now apply for the prestigious McGraw Fellowship for Business Journalism, offered by the McGraw Center at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism, City University of New York.

The fellowship provides both editorial guidance and grants of up to US$15,000 to support investigative and enterprise stories that require significant time and resources. Whether working in text, video, or audio, fellows will receive the tools and support they need to deliver compelling, in-depth journalism.

Open to both staff journalists and freelancers, the program welcomes international applicants as long as their reporting is completed in English and intended for a U.S. audience.

Applicants must have a minimum of five years of professional journalism experience. The work produced through the fellowship should shed light on important issues in the business world or the broader economy.

Application deadline: October 13, 2025
