The Nieman Visiting Fellowships provide individuals a chance to advance journalism through special projects at Harvard. These fellowships are open to both U.S. and international applicants.

The Nieman Visiting Fellowships at Harvard provide short-term research opportunities for individuals interested in advancing journalism through special projects. Applicants do not need to be practicing journalists but must show how their work at Harvard and the Nieman Foundation will benefit the future of journalism. There are no age limits, academic prerequisites, or college degree requirements. Both U.S. and international applicants are welcome. Fellows must reside in Cambridge, Massachusetts, for the duration of the fellowship, which typically lasts between four and eight weeks. Fellows receive a stipend of $1,325 per week.
