Aamir Liaquat arrested in Myanmar
Aamir Liaquat, a BOL News anchor, was arrested by immigration officials in Myanmar during his trip to help Rohingya Muslims. He lost contact with BOL News, which reported his situation.

ISLAMABAD – BOL News anchor Aamir Liaquat was arrested Saturday by immigration officials as he arrived in Myanmar.

He went there to help Rohingya Muslims who are in deep trouble.

BOL reported it had lost contact with Liaquat, who hosts the program Aisay Nahin Chalay Ga.

On his trip to Myanmar, he is accompanied by Waqar Zaka, a VJ turned television host, who was also reportedly arrested.

BOL quoting Liaquat said immigration authorities had questioned him on his tweets and his programs.

In a tweet, probably before he was arrested, Liaquat said: “Reached #Myanmar but facing severe difficulties at Immigration... please pray.”
