Returning for its second edition, the award offers approximately $2,600 prizes in five categories: data-driven visualization, fighting climate misinformation, investigative reporting, solutions-focused storytelling, and emerging talent.
The award ceremony will be held at the News Impact Summit in Copenhagen on October 10, 2024. Managed by the European Journalism Centre in partnership with the Google News Initiative, the call for entries is open from June 5 to July 5.
Eligibility criteria include:
Apply on behalf of a collaborative team, with submissions accepted in any language but accompanied by an English text translation.
Who Can Apply:
Journalists or collaborative teams can apply. Travel and accommodation for up to two team members will be covered. No citizenship or residency restrictions, but the project must be published in a European-based outlet.
