ARY News presenter Maria Memon announced on Twitter that she tested positive for coronavirus. She is experiencing mild symptoms and is isolating herself.

ISLAMABAD—ARY News presenter Maria Memon said Saturday she had tested positive for coronavirus.

She disclosed on Twitter that she had mild symptoms from the past two days and got herself tested, and was now keeping herself isolated.

"It is very important to discourage social stigma related to Covid. Be socially responsible. Isolate, get tested and let people know about your condition."

Fellow journalists and others prayed for her early recovery.

More than 150 journalists have tested positive for Covid-19 across the country since the spread of the pandemic.
