ISLAMABAD — Renowned veteran broadcaster Surriya Shahab who passed away on Friday was buried at the Islamabad Graveyard the same day.
She began her career with Radio Tehran and later she joined Radio Pakistan and Pakistan Television as a newscaster. She was a prominent face of PTV for many years.
In the 1980s she joined the BBC and moved to London.
She leaves behind two sons and a daughter.
