Talat Hussain to host 'Naya Pakistan' on Geo Television
Syed Talat Hussain has left Aaj TV and joined Geo News as a senior anchor. He is set to host the current affairs program 'Naya Pakistan' at 10pm three days a week.
ISLAMABAD: Prominent journalist Syed Talat Hussain has quit Aaj TV and joined Geo News as senior anchorperson and columnist.
A source told JournalismPakistan.com that he would host a current affairs program “Naya Pakistan” on Geo News probably to be aired at 10pm three days a week.
“Yes, I’ve joined Geo News,” he confirmed Tuesday, but declined to give more details about his program. “It’s part of their (Geo News management) strategy (not to divulge information) and they’ll reveal it soon.”
The source, however, said that Hussain would also write weekly articles for The News and daily Jang -the English and Urdu publications of Jang Group.
Hussain is currently associated with Bahria University Islamabad as Assistant Professor where he looks after Media Studies program at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences.
He was hosting a current affairs program “Live with Talat” on Aaj TV.
