ISLAMABAD—Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) has condemned the brutal murder of journalist and anchor Shaheena Shaheen in Turbat district of Balochistan.
In a statement, PFUJ President Shahzada Zulfiqar and Secretary-General Nasir Zaidi urged the provincial and federal governments, and IGFC to take urgent action for the arrest of those involved in the killing.
Shaheen worked with PTV Bolan and was the editor of Dazgahar, a Balochi magazine, and a renowned painter.
"We want an immediate judicial inquiry into the brutal murder of Shaheena Shaheen and the arrest of the killer," the statement said.
