ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) has sought an apology from MQM for forcibly shutting down television news channels for six hours in Karachi.
PFUJ President Afzal Butt while condemning the act said that if the MQM leadership did not tender an apology within 24 hours, they would hold countrywide protests. The union's secretary general Khursheed Abbasi warned the entire Pakistani media would stand up against the MQM if it did not apologize.
