ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has seized equipment of two cable operators in Jampur and Pattoki for illegally showing vulgar Indian content through in-house CD channels.
The authority took notice of complaints made by Twitter users. Two separate complaints were posted on the social media platform.
Subsequently, a PEMRA Multan team conducted a raid on M/S Babbar Cable Network and confiscated five CPUs, one connecting switch, and a dish TV receiver with card in Jampur, District Rajanpur.
Similarly, the authority’s regional office Lahore team confiscated two receivers and two CPUs in Pattoki, District Kasur.
