ISLAMABAD: A short documentary of Pakistani producer Syed Nabeel Tirmazi has been shortlisted for the 14th International Mountain Film Festival, The Nation reported.
The 10-minute documentary titled ‘The Dark Climb is about a blind mountaineer Haider Ali. An international jury shortlisted four documentaries out of 270 entries that including Nabeel’s work. The judges will preview the selected documentaries and the winning film will be screened on the occasion of mountain film festival in Hamburg, Germany later this year.
Nabeel has vast experience in production and has produced more than 50 documentaries on unique topics in a 15-year career.
Tirmazi said the aim behind his latest documentary was not only to promote Pakistani tourism and adventure sports but also to motivate people with disabilities.
